Last year: Hunter Mahan won the playoff opener at Ridgewood, closing with a 6-under 65 for a two-shot victory.

Notes: The top 125 in the regular season standings qualified for the tournament. The top 100 after the event will be eligible for the Deutsche Bank next week at TPC Boston in Norton, Massachusetts. The field will be cut to 70 for the BMW Championship at Conway Farms in Lake Forest, Illinois, and to 30 for the Tour Championship at East Lake in Atlanta.
